The Kit of the Week is our chance to show off the best, most striking kit to come through the Verge Sport production facility in the past couple of days.
It's a look behind the scenes and an opportunity for our sublimation and sewing capabilities to truly show through with the latest customer orders.
There are a lot of talented kit designers out there putting together designs for local teams and clubs on up to the professional ranks, and we're excited to share the latest.
Starting in the art and printing department the Verge Sport production staff checks files for proper art reproduction, tuning inks for the fabric being used, and measuring with a spectrometer to ensure correct final color. Constant feed sublimation machines transfer the inks permanently into the fabric panel-by-panel, as technicians check alignment and saturation on each piece.
The panels comes together as one in the sewing department, moving station to station between seamstresses well versed in the multitude of different machines, threads, and stitches required to bring a jersey or pair of bib shorts together. Each garment passes through quality assurance to do a final thread trim and measure against a size chart as a final check of proper fit and construction before heading to its final destination.
