Stan's No Tubes - Spring Update - Verge America
We are well into our spring race campaign and the team is flying! Alexis continued her California campaign with a wet, sloppy mudfest at Bonelli Park. The following weekend we had a mini reunion with Jenny, Nina, Alexis and Sarah all attending Sea Otter. In the meantime, Emily was defending her home turf at the Pisgah Mountain Bike Stage Race with five days of burly riding in Pisgah National Forest. Alexis then headed home to defend her local trails in Colorado while Jenny, Sarah and Mical started the Epic Rides series at the Whiskey 50.
Alexis's Mud-Bath at Bonelli
Despite the sloppy conditions, Alexis threw down in a world class field. "Not so sunny SoCal served up mud this weekend! Turns out my pink Verge Sport kit looks great - even in the mud. It was a great turnout of world class competitors and my equipment was flawless!"
Emily Tackles Pisgah
Hailing from Advance, North Carolina, the Pisgah Mountain Bike Stage Race was a no brainer for Emily. She has plenty of practice on the rugged, rocky, rooted terrain of Pisgah. Emily lined up in a strong field of pro women for five days of racing. "Pisgah was so much fun! The race went great and I felt like my skills improved over the week. Now I am even more excited and confident for Trans-Sylvania in May."
Team Reunion at Sea Otter
With eight women scattered across the US and Canada, it's pretty rare to get us all in one place. Even getting four of us together feels like a reunion. It was so much fun for Nina, Alexis, Jenny and Sarah to descend on Sea Otter and leave our pink mark on the trails! Jenny still firmly entrenched in winter in Gunnison, CO was thrilled to see the sun, "It was so great to start the season with a fast race with such a deep big field! I really enjoyed connecting with our team, teammates and sponsors." Nina had new perspective from her position as the Cannondale Women's Global Product Manager, "Sea Otter was so amazing this year. So good to reconnect with teammates and see them crushing it on their properly-fitting [read: extra-small!] F-Si's, plus get to participate in the biggest XC field I've seen in a long time!" Alexis was just closing out a three week long California campaign. "Sea Otter did not dissapoint! Such a great turnout, it made for an intense, competitive race!"

The Epic Rides events are always a highlight for the team with our title sponsor Stan's NoTubes a major sponsor of the events. These are community-driven, MTB roots events and we love them! The weekend layout is always the same with an evening pro fat tire crit on Friday, amateur racing on Saturday and the pro events on Sunday.
Fresh off a stellar CX season, Mical threw down in the crit to land *thisclose* to the podium in 6th place. Saturday the girls took advantage of the downtime to mingle in the expo and chat with public, racers and team partners. The vibe was happy and chill and we love the chance to spread the love for our sponsors, our sport and women's cycling.
The main event on Sunday featured a new start and an extra dose of singletrack. With limited racing in her legs, Jenny moved steadily up through the race, cracking the top ten in 9th. "I raced hard and hurt! Pretty stoked with the start of my season and finishing 9th in a stacked field. The best part of my day by far was the bedtime voicemail from my daughter, Jade, 'Mummy we love you, we miss you, congratulations Mummy, we'll see you tomorrow.'" Awwwwwe.
Jenny was riding her brand new and just released women's specific Cannondale Scalpel-Si as part of a global launch coordinated with other racers and events around the world.
