When Biniam "Bini" Girmay sprinted to victory on Stage 3 of the 2024 Tour de France, he didn't just win a bike race. He shattered barriers, rewrote history, and became the first Black African to win a stage in cycling's greatest event. By the time he reached Paris wearing the Green Points Jersey – another historic first – Bini had become more than a champion. He'd become a symbol of what's possible.
Today, we're proud to launch the Bini Legacy Line, our tribute to this remarkable athlete and the cycling culture that shaped him. This isn't just another apparel collection – it's a celebration of Eritrea's deep cycling heritage and a statement about the sport's evolving future.
The collection features three distinctive jerseys – Ashenafi, Tigat, and Qelṭuf – each named using Tigrinya language to reflect core Eritrean values: victory, perseverance, and speed. We've also created the Michu'i Bib Short, engineered for the kind of elite performance that defines champions like Bini.
